This invitation-only investor forum previews groundbreaking research that may lead to revolutionary product breakthroughs in five to ten years.  La Jolla’s Torrey Pines Mesa is a rich environment for collaboration, with 50 research institutes encompassing some of the world’s most creative scientists and engineers.  The Summit will provide a private setting for ~100 visiting VCs to get an overview of the most innovative research programs underway in the region.

Last year’s inaugural Summit was very well received. This year, CONNECT has assembled a day-long program featuring four panels of San Diego-based researchers in the fields of Cleantech, Biotech, High-Tech/ IT, and Wireless Health.  In addition, Dr. Roger Tsien, who was awarded the 2008 Nobel Prize in Chemistry, will keynote this year’s Summit.
