Achim Brinker, Ph.D., is an associate in the San Francisco office and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group.
Before joining the firm, Dr. Brinker was associate director at the Genomics Institute of the Novartis Research Foundation. He also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at The Scripps Research Institute and was a member of Morrison & Foerster’s summer associate program.
Dr. Brinker received his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He received his Ph.D., summa cum laude, in biochemistry from the Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry, where he received the Otto Hahn Medal of the Max Planck Society and the Young Investigator Research Award. He received his diploma in biochemistry, with highest distinction, from Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen.
Dr. Brinker is a native German speaker.
