Aki Saito is a senior associate at Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office, where her practice focuses on antitrust and patent litigation.

Ms. Saito represents Seiko Epson Corporation and its affiliates in federal MDL antitrust litigation, managing written discovery and electronic discovery and preparing dispositive briefs. Ms. Saito has also represented numerous Japanese companies in high technology patent litigation. She was a part of the trial team that represented Sharp Corporation in a patent infringement investigation involving LCD technology before the International Trade Commission and she represented Hitachi, Ltd. in a patent infringement suit involving plasma display technology in federal district court. She also has an active pro bono practice representing an immigration petitioner located abroad.

She served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Randall Rader of the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit in 2005. Ms. Saito is a co-author of the article, “KSR v. Teleflex Hijimesei no Kijyunnitsuite Saikousai de Arasowareta Jikenn (Revisiting the Standard of Obviousness),” Patent Prism (2007).

Ms. Saito is admitted to practice in California. She is a native Japanese speaker.
