Alexandra Cavazos is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Morrison & Foerster with a practice focused on biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent law.
Dr. Cavazos received her J.D. from the University of California-Los Angeles School of Law where she was an Associate Editor of the Chicano-Latino Law Review and served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Harry H. Pregerson of the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Dr. Cavazos holds a B.A. from Harvard University and a B.S. in Molecular and Cell Biology from San Francisco State University, where she was a Minority Access to Research Careers Scholar. Dr. Cavazos received her Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology and Biochemistry from the University of California at Berkeley, where her research focused on the biochemical and structural characterization of kinases involved in regulating host-pathogen interactions during HIV and tuberculosis infections.
Dr. Cavazos is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
