Life Sciences and Intellectual Property attorney Michael Smith presented “What Every Chemist Needs to Know about Patent Law (or What I Wish I Knew When I Was Your Age)” to members of the San Diego chapter of the American Chemical Society. The seminar convened researchers, scientists, and managers who are working in the San Diego biotech and pharmaceutical arena to learn fundamentals of patent law that will help them prepare for and navigate the patent process.
