Benjamin Smiley is an associate in Morrison & Foerster's Litigation Group in the New York office. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, he worked as a staff attorney at the Texas Defender Service doing post-conviction work for inmates on Texas' Death Row and providing support for attorneys with capital trials throughout the state.
Mr. Smiley received his J.D. from Harvard Law School. While at law school, he participated in the Ames Moot Court competition. Mr. Smiley graduated summa cum laude from Rice University with a B.A. in mathematics and mathematical economic analysis. He was an academic fellow at Will Rice College and a member of the George R. Brown Forensics Society.
Mr. Smiley is admitted to practice in Texas and New York.
