Benno Guggenheimer is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. Mr. Guggenheimer practices in various areas of intellectual property, including patent prosecution, patent analysis, and intellectual property litigation.
Mr. Guggenheimer provides patent counseling to a range of well-known companies, including DreamWorks, Texas Instruments, Access Co. Ltd., and Dole. Mr. Guggenheimer also works with start-up companies to develop core IP assets. His areas of technical expertise include consumer electronics, software products, medical devices, and automated systems.
Mr. Guggenheimer’s technical background includes more than 10 years of experience in research and product development. He has been granted several of his own patents for inventions in biomedical instrumentation, optical sensors, and high-precision optical alignment systems.
Mr. Guggenheimer received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law, where he served as senior articles editor on the Journal of Law and Technology. Mr. Guggenheimer also served as an extern for the Honorable George P. Schiavelli, United States District Court Judge for the Central District of California.
