This seminar is for both new and experienced government contractors/grantees who want to learn how to protect their intellectual property and proprietary information under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). Competitors frequently request federal contract and grant information under the FOIA that potentially puts any information submitted to the government into the hands of competitors.

• The FOIA process and the agency’s obligations to notify you that your information has been requested under FOIA
• Best practices for protecting your intellectual property and proprietary information
• Recent developments that may strengthen or weaken protections under FOIA
