Betre Gizaw is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s Washington, D.C. office. He maintains a broad litigation and antitrust practice, representing clients before regulatory agencies in the criminal cartel and merger acquisition contexts. Mr. Gizaw has broad experience in several aspects of criminal investigation and regulatory compliance, including document production and witness and client interviews.

In addition, his practice encompasses specialized regulatory areas, including trade sanctions and export controls (where he has obtained several export control licenses) and CFIUS/national security reviews (where he has represented clients in transactions requiring an additional 45-day review from CFIUS agencies).

Mr. Gizaw received his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law where he was the Submissions Editor of the National Black Law Journal. He received his B.A. from Northeastern University where he received the Nguzo Saba Leadership Award and the Reggie Lewis Memorial Scholarship.

Mr. Gizaw is admitted to practice in New York and the District of Columbia.
