Brian Ito is an associate in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster LLP and a member of the firm’s Technology Transactions Group. Mr. Ito advises clients on transactional matters involving intellectual property, including matters regarding joint ventures, licensing, acquisition, and sale of intellectual property and technology.
Mr. Ito joined Morrison & Foerster in 2011 from a large global law firm where he was a member of the corporate department. While there, Mr. Ito gained substantial experience representing both public and private companies in a wide range of corporate transactions. Mr. Ito also assisted on patent litigation matters related to wireless and wired communications technologies.
Mr. Ito received his B.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and his J.D., Order of the Coif, from the University of California, Davis. While in college and after graduating, he worked at Intel Corporation in the Cellular and Handset Group helping to design Intel’s first GSM cellular processor. Mr. Ito is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
