Chad Himeda is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. Mr. Himeda’s practice includes domestic and international patent prosecution, client counseling, and patent litigation and litigation support in a wide range of technologies, including electronics, internet and software applications, networking, telecommunications, circuit designs, clean technology, and semiconductor processing and processing equipment.
Mr. Himeda manages patent portfolios for well-known companies in the solar, consumer electronics, circuit, and semiconductor industries. Mr. Himeda also works with start-up companies to develop core intellectual property assets.
Mr. Himeda has also been involved in numerous patent litigation matters involving internet applications, e-commerce, consumer electronics, and network processors. His litigation support practice includes drafting reexamination requests and providing legal and technical support for non-infringement analysis, invalidity analysis, and claim construction.
Mr. Himeda obtained his J.D. from the William S. Richardson School of Law at the University of Hawaii in 2008. While in law school, Mr. Himeda received the CALI Award for Excellence in legal research and writing. Mr. Himeda received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering with a focus on digital systems and computer architecture from the University of Washington in 2005.
Mr. Himeda is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the California State Bar.
