Chris Coulter is a partner in the firm's London office and a member of the Technology Transactions Group and the Global Sourcing Group.
Mr. Coulter has over twenty years of experience as a commercial and intellectual property lawyer, with a particular focus on transactions involving users and suppliers of technology and technology-enabled services. Mr. Coulter advises public and private sector entities on a wide variety of commercial arrangements, including on the creation and licensing of rights in software, technology products and digital content; outsourcing and procurement of technology and complex services; distribution of digital content, including games, films and music; software development and licensing; Internet and mobile business arrangements and brand development. He also provides strategic and regulatory advice, including in connection with digital marketing, intellectual property, consumer protection, data protection and the establishment of web-enabled businesses.
In addition, Mr. Coulter advises on the commercial and intellectual property aspects of M&A transactions and joint ventures, particularly for those which involve businesses in the technology, media and telecommunications sectors.
Mr. Coulter is recommended in Legal 500 UK, where he is described by clients as a “Top-quality lawyer”. He writes articles and speaks regularly at conferences on technology issues, primarily in relation to technology and outsourcing.
