Derivatives market participants are becoming subject to a series of regulatory requirements related to clearing, trade reporting, and record-keeping. Even occasional corporate end-users of derivatives will have to prepare to comply with certain of these new obligations. In this session, we will provide a comprehensive overview of all of the considerations relevant to end-users, including:
- Ensuring ability to rely on the end-user exception;
- The mechanics of clearing;
- Corporate actions to be taken by end-users;
- Establishing a clearing relationship;
- Margin requirements;
- The ISDA D-F Protocols and commonly used bilateral agreements;
- Hedging policies; and
- Understanding the requirements applicable to swap dealers.
PLI will provide CLE credit.
