Constance T.Y. McComb is an attorney in the San Francisco office of Morrison & Foerster LLP and a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Group and Plant Intellectual Property Group. Her practice is concentrated on representing and counseling life science, plant biotechnology, medical device, and other high-technology companies in intellectual property-related business transactions. She has represented a variety of emerging and established companies on transactions ranging from material transfer agreements, sponsored research agreements, clinical trial agreements, nursery/grower agreements, research and development agreements, commercialization agreements, manufacturing and supply agreements, distribution agreements, and confidentiality agreements to licensing of intellectual property rights, technology transfers, and mergers and acquisitions.
From 1991 until 1999, Ms. McComb was a member of the Litigation Department where she represented clients in the resolution of commercial business disputes with an emphasis on life sciences patent litigation. Her cases have included litigation of patents directed to medical devices and varying uses of recombinant DNA technologies.
Ms. McComb attended U.C. Berkeley where she received her B.A. degree with honors in Political Science in 1988. She received her J.D. degree from U.C. Davis in 1991. Ms. McComb joined Morrison & Foerster LLP in 1991. Ms. McComb is a member of the California Bar, the Bar Association of San Francisco, the American Bar Association, and the Federal Circuit Bar Association.
