Daniel Levison is a litigation partner in the firm’s Singapore office, where he specializes in counseling clients regarding compliance matters and conducting internal investigations and compliance reviews across the Asia-Pacific region. Mr. Levison also works closely with the firm’s U.S. and European offices on global investigations and is a member of the firms FCPA + Anti-Corruption Task Force. His practice has included work in many countries in Southeast Asia and beyond, including Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore, as well as India, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea and China.
Clients rely on Mr. Levison’s experience with highly sensitive matters, which have included fraud and corruption, cartel and other competition matters, export control, privacy and data security, and regulatory and product safety investigations. In addition, he assists clients with pre-acquisition and third-party anti-corruption due diligence, and developing, reviewing and implementing anti-corruption policies, procedures and training programs.
Mr. Levison also focuses on complex commercial litigation and arbitration matters, with particular emphasis on the resolution of multi-jurisdictional disputes, and has developed particular expertise regarding cross-border electronic discovery matters. Mr. Levison has counseled clients in a range of matters involving contract disputes, business torts, antitrust, product liability, intellectual property and other issues. Mr. Levison has represented clients in a variety of industries, including electronics and manufacturing, software, consulting and professional services, chemicals, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, sports and entertainment, transportation, real estate, hospitality, insurance, and banking and financial services, among others.
Before moving to Singapore, Mr. Levison practiced in the firm’s Tokyo office for over 12 years, and is proficient in Japanese. Mr. Levison has also worked in the firm’s New York office.
Mr. Levison obtained his A.B., cum laude, in 1993 from Cornell University, where he majored in government and Asian studies, and received his M.Sc. in public administration and public policy in 1994 from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He received his J.D. in 1997 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law. From 1997 to 1998, Mr. Levison served as a law clerk to the Honorable Eduardo C. Robreno, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Levison is admitted to the New York, Pennsylvania and New Jersey state bars.
