David S. Brown is Of Counsel in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster's New York office.  He is a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation, Securities Litigation, Enforcement, and White-Collar Defense (SLEW), and Distressed Real Estate Groups. 

He has represented clients in a wide range of matters, including domestic and international internal investigations in connection with shareholder suits and civil and criminal government probes, securities litigation, white-collar criminal defense, FINRA arbitrations, fraud and contract disputes, and domestic and international data privacy matters, among other cases.  Mr. Brown has further represented various clients in bankruptcy proceedings and liquidations.   

In addition, Mr. Brown has represented various banks and financial services clients in connection with distressed real estate matters, including syndicated and multi-tier real estate loan disputes leading to workouts and restructurings, guaranty actions, enforcement of intercreditor agreements, commercial foreclosures and sales of collateralized loans in litigation.  

Mr. Brown is actively involved in various pro bono projects, and has most recently been involved in a Freedom of Information Act litigation against various government agencies and departments concerning certain controversial Central Intelligence Agency programs.
