David Scannell is an associate with Morrison & Foerster’s Litigation Department. Mr. Scannell's practice focuses on intellectual property disputes before the U.S. International Trade Commission and the federal courts. He has litigated several recent cases in the International Trade Commission involving complex technologies, including the operation of memory controller chips, methods of chip-to-chip signal transmission, and the fabrication and operation of LCD displays. He also represents clients in other complex federal and state litigation matters.

Mr. Scannell received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School in 2009, where he was an editor of the University of Virginia Journal of Law and Politics. Before entering law school Mr. Scannell was a consultant working on the technological integration of the United States Army's logistics systems. He received his B.A. from Dartmouth College in 2002.
