Dean Makris is an associate in the Washington, D.C. office of Morrison & Foerster, where he is a member of the Debt Trading Group. He currently represents investment banks, commercial banks, hedge funds, and other entities in secondary market loan transactions.
Mr. Makris has extensive experience in the review and analysis of credit documentation relating to par loans, particularly in connection with CDO transactions. He also has experience representing commercial banks and other entities in connection with distressed loan transactions.
Mr. Makris received his B.S. in 2001 from the University of Virginia and his J.D. in 2006 from the George Mason University School of Law, where he served as Notes Editor for the George Mason Law Review and was a member of the Moot Court Board.
