Debra Urteaga is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s San Francisco office.
Ms. Urteaga received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law. During law school, she externed for Associate Justice Carlos R. Moreno at the California Supreme Court and interned at the American Civil Liberties Union of Northern California. She also served as senior notes editor on the Hastings Constitutional Law Quarterly, where her note was published in 2011.
Prior to law school, Ms. Urteaga taught for the French Ministry of Education in Lyon, France, and interned for Bet Tzedek Legal Services in Los Angeles, California. She was awarded the State Bar of California’s Wiley W. Manuel Award for pro bono legal services in 2008.
Ms. Urteaga was a Regents’ Scholar and graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine with a B.A. in English.
