Deirdre Moynihan is an associate in the London office of Morrison & Foerster and is a member of the Technology Transactions Group and the Global Sourcing Group.
She advises clients on general commercial and transactional matters with a particular focus on companies with considerable intellectual property assets such as those in the life sciences, pharmaceutical, technology and communications sectors.
Her practice focuses on the legal aspects of licensing and commercialising technology and intellectual property rights. She also advises on e-commerce, telecoms and data protection law and compliance.
Recent experience includes advising multi-national corporations on a variety of copyright, telecoms and e-commerce issues arising from online products and services.
Ms. Moynihan has advised vendors and purchasers on technology and intellectual property rights issues arising out of a number of large corporate transactions in the technology, communications and pharmaceutical sectors. Her experience includes conducting due diligence reviews of intellectual property licences and technology agreements, drafting and negotiating appropriate warranty and indemnity protection and ancillary documentation (e.g., licences and assignments of intellectual property rights (including trade marks and patents) and transitional services agreements).
Ms. Moynihan received her LL.M. from University College Dublin in 2006; her thesis was entitled “Restraining Copyright: An Analysis of Copyright Misuse”. She was admitted to practice in England & Wales in 2007.
