Demme Doufekias's practice involves representing corporations and individuals in investigations conducted by the Department of Justice, U.S. Attorney's Offices, inspectors general, and other federal enforcement agencies, as well as in parallel civil and administrative proceedings that often accompany white collar criminal matters.

Ms. Doufekias also has experience representing clients in federal and state trials. These trials resulted in the acquittal of a former executive of a global pharmaceutical company after a three-week trial on violations of the federal anti-kickback statute; a mistrial and subsequent reversed verdict on re-trial for the former chairman and chief executive officer of a Kansas public utility charged with conspiracy, fraud, and other violations of federal law; and a defense judgment for a national law firm in a $226 million state legal malpractice suit.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Doufekias was a legal assistant in the White House Counsel's Office during the Clinton Administration, where she worked on various matters investigated by the Office of Independent Counsel, including Whitewater, campaign finance, impeachment, and the activities of various Cabinet members.
