Donna Zenor's practice focuses on banking and finance, including real and personal property secured transactions, equipment leasing, and letter-of-credit and other credit enhancement transactions.
Over the last 25 years Ms. Zenor has represented institutions providing residential mortgage warehousing lines and commercial paper and repo facilities, buyers, sellers, and financiers of loan and lease portfolios, and sponsors of residential and commercial real estate secondary market-related securitizations.
Ms. Zenor formed and represented on an ongoing basis a mortgage company subsidiary of a major national bank, structured a secondary market conduit for the mortgage banking subsidiary of a major investment banking firm, created one of the first rated, single property commercial mortgage REMICs, and provided advice in connection with a number of acquisitions involving mortgage banking operations. She regularly represents major insurance companies in private placement transactions with particular emphasis on the food, wine, commodities, timber, and agri-business industries.
Ms. Zenor has served as Chairman of the Debtor/Creditor Relations and Bankruptcy Committee of the California State Bar and Vice-Chairman of the Executive Committee of the California State Bar Business Law Section. Ms. Zenor also chaired the Interstate Banking Subcommittee of the Business Law Section's Financial Institutions Committee. She has been elected a Fellow in the American College of Investment Counsel
Ms. Zenor was Managing Editor of the Cornell Law Review.
