Douglas Beteta is a litigation associate in Morrison & Foerster's Los Angeles office. His practice focuses on all aspects of litigation including factual investigations and representation before state and federal trial courts, in arbitrations, and on appeal.
Mr. Beteta represents a variety of businesses, including pharmaceutical companies, insurance companies, and business associations in antitrust litigation as well as other business disputes.
From the beginning of his career, Mr. Beteta has been committed to giving back to his community. He leads the Los Angeles office’s participation in the Shriver Housing Project - LA, a pilot project aimed at providing litigants in unlawful detainer actions with representation, and is a member of its Pro Bono Advisory Panel. In his pro bono work, Mr. Beteta has represented families seeking to finalize adoptions, children seeking educational equality, and children seeking to come to the United States for life-altering medical procedures. He is a member of Public Counsel’s inaugural Associate Leadership Board and has received the Wiley W. Manuel Certificate for Pro Bono Legal Services, each year starting in 2010.
