Felix Miao is an associate resident in the Hong Kong office. His practice focuses on public and private securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, securities law compliance, private equity and general corporate matters. He has extensive experience representing PRC corporate issuers and international underwriters in the initial public offerings with listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange and international offerings pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Miao worked at several leading international firms in Hong Kong and the United States. From 2009 to 2010, he served as the Associate General Counsel for an international insurance company. Prior to joining private practice, Mr. Miao also worked as a senior statistician for several leading international health care, pharmaceutical and life sciences companies in the U.S.
Mr. Miao earned his J.D. from the Emory University School of Law in Atlanta, Georgia; M.S. in Statistics from the University of Louisiana, Lafayette, Louisiana; and B.A. in International Finance from the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing, China. He also holds a HKSI Specialist Certificate for Corporate Finance.
Mr. Miao is qualified to practice in California and Hong Kong. He is a native Chinese speaker and fluent in English.
