Gabriel Bloch is an associate in Morrison & Foerster's Beijing office. Mr. Bloch’s practice covers a broad range of international and domestic mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, capital markets and other corporate finance matters.
Mr. Bloch advises international, Chinese and Japanese companies on a number of M&A and private equity transactions, foreign direct investment, commercial agreements, SEC disclosure, and general corporate law matters. He also has experience in media and entertainment matters, as well as with data privacy and data security issues.
He earned his B.A. summa cum laude from the University of Oregon and J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. He also attended Keio University’s Center for Japanese Studies in 2001 and the Harvard-Berkeley Exchange Program in 2006. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, he worked in both a leading U.S. law firm and a top-tier PRC law firm for 4 years.
Mr. Bloch is admitted to the bar in the State of California. He is fluent in Japanese and Chinese, having begun his language studies as an undergraduate and continuing as a Blakemore Freeman Fellow at Tsinghua University’s Inter-University Program for Chinese Language Studies from 2009-2010.
