Mr. Eschet is Of Counsel in the Silicon Valley office of Morrison & Foerster and a member of the firm’s Technology Transactions Group. He also serves as Co-Head of Morrison & Foerster’s Israel Desk. Mr. Eschet’s practice focuses primarily on cross-border and domestic transactions involving technology and intellectual property, and includes structuring, negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements and intellectual property licenses; representing clients in strategic alliances, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, asset sales, and investments; and advising clients on a wide variety of matters relating to intellectual property, development, supply, distribution, collaborations, open source and other matters relevant to technology companies. Mr. Eschet represents a wide array of public and private companies, from large established institutional clients to start-up companies. His clients have included technology companies, primarily in the information technology, semiconductor, software, Internet, telecommunications, medical device, and clean technology industries. Representative clients include Agilewaves, Atmel, Audience, BEA Systems, Canto, Cowen, CEVA, Daifuku, DSP Group, Fujitsu, Hitachi, Intel, InvenSense, JDS Uniphase, McKesson, MediGuide, Mitsubishi UFJ, Passave, Redpine Signals, Saifun, Sierra Monolithics, SoftBank, Syneron, Thomson, Toshiba, Vuance, and Wacom.

In March 2012, Intel Corporation awarded Mr. Eschet the Intel Architecture Group’s “Outside Counsel Excellence Award” to recognize his "outstanding support" across a series of deals.

In his role as Head of the Israel Desk, Mr. Eschet uses his knowledge of both Israeli and American business cultures and legal systems to help represent Israeli businesses in the United States and elsewhere, as well as global investors in their activities in Israel. He is admitted to practice law in both California and Israel. Mr. Eschet also maintains an active pro bono practice.  Mr. Eschet is a member of the Mobile and Internet Committee of the California Israel Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Eschet received an LL.M. degree (Master of Laws) with high honors from UC Berkeley School of Law, where he was a John M. Olin fellow; an LL.B. degree (J.D. equivalent), summa cum laude, from the University of Haifa School of Law; and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Haifa Department of Economics.

Mr. Eschet authored a legal academic paper on RFID technology that was published in Jurimetrics (the journal of the American Bar Association Section of Science and Technology Law), as well as several articles published by Haaretz, TheMarker, Globes and other business press.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Eschet held a research position at the Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) at UC Berkeley; teaching and research positions at the University of Haifa School of Law; and practiced law at the business department of a leading Israeli law firm. Mr. Eschet was a Lieutenant in the Israel Defense Forces, where he served as a naval officer on missile boats.

Mr. Eschet is fluent in English and Hebrew.
