New York financial transactions partner Geoffrey Peck has written "Acquisition Financing in the United States: Outlook Improved," a chapter included in the 2013 International Comparative Legal Guide to Lending and Secured Finance published by Global Legal Group. He examines some of the questions that leveraged acquisitions in the United States raise about structuring and techniques. "As global financial markets continue to improve," Mr. Peck concludes, we can "expect to see greater volumes of acquisitions financings and sponsors exercising greater leverage over their lenders to loosen acquisition financing terms."
