Gregory Wang is a partner resident in Morrison & Foerster’s Hong Kong office.  His practice focuses on securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, and other corporate transactions in Greater China.

Mr. Wang has worked on many securities offerings by Chinese and other companies, including the privatizations of various stated-owned banks and other companies in China; global offerings and the listings on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange; SEC-registered IPOs and follow-on offerings; high yield debt offerings; and the offerings of global depositary receipts and convertible bonds.

Prior to joining the firm in 2010, Mr. Wang had worked in the Hong Kong and New York offices of a leading U.S. law firm for 10 years.  From 1988 to 1994, Mr. Wang also served as a lecturer at Fudan University School of Law in Shanghai, China.  He was a visiting assistant professor at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in Ohio, United States during 1995 and 1997.

Mr. Wang received his J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Maine School of Law, where he was the comments editor of the law review.  He received his LL.M. from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law and his LL.M. and LL.B. from Fudan University School of Law. 

Mr. Wang is admitted to the New York bar and is also qualified to practice in China.  He is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English and Shanghainese.
