Ms. Liu's practice is focused on intellectual property litigation. She has represented multinational companies in complex patent litigations. Most recently, she was part of the Morrison & Foerster team that represented Pioneer Corporation in its litigation against another high-profile international consumer electronics company in the plasma display technology area, which resulted in a jury verdict in Pioneer's favor. Ms. Liu has also worked with smaller companies in evaluating their patents for potential infringement claims.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Liu was a Norman and Rosita Winston Postdoctoral Fellow, Rockefeller University in New York, where she studied the susceptible human genes associated with schizophrenia and published several research articles in prominent scientific journals. Ms. Liu graduated from Yale Law School where she was an editor for the Yale Journal of Law and Technology.
