Ian Kellogg is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster’s Denver office, and a member of the firm’s Securities Litigation, Enforcement, and White-Collar Defense and Commercial Litigation Groups.  His practice focuses primarily on representing companies, corporate committees, officers, and directors in securities class actions, shareholder derivative actions, internal investigations, and investigations and enforcement proceedings by state and federal regulators. 

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Kellogg clerked for Judge Neil M. Gorsuch on the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and worked for a Denver law firm where he focused on securities actions, complex commercial litigation, and FINRA arbitrations.

Mr. Kellogg received his J.D., with distinction, from Stanford Law School, where he was an editor of the Stanford Law Review and recipient of the Law Review’s Member-Editor award.  Mr. Kellogg received a B.A. in philosophy, magna cum laude, from Gonzaga University.

Before law school, Mr. Kellogg worked at various times as a telecommunications policy analyst in Washington, D.C. and a commercial salmon fisherman based out of Petersburg, Alaska.

Mr. Kellogg maintains an active pro bono practice.  He recently represented the victim of a predatory home-sale in getting the contract for sale rescinded, and he currently represents an indigent client appealing the dismissal of his civil rights lawsuit to the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Kellogg was recognized as one of Colorado’s Rising Stars for 2012 in Colorado’s Super Lawyers list.
