James Lee is an associate in the Corporate Department of Morrison & Foerster's Tokyo office. He is a qualified accountant as well as an attorney. Mr Lee's practice focuses on international Mergers & Acquisitions and Securities Offerings, and his clients include blue chip Japanese corporations and global investment banks.
Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr Lee was a lawyer at the Australian Securities & Investments Commission (which is the Australian counterpart of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission), and an accountant at Ernst & Young.
Mr Lee earned his Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of New South Wales in 1994, and his Bachelor of Laws degree with honors from the University of Technology, Sydney in 2002. Mr Lee was also a research student at Waseda University's Graduate School of Law under a Japanese government scholarship for two years.
