Jeff Silver is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Group. Mr. Silver represents public and private company clients in all aspects of corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and asset dispositions. He advises clients regarding various issues in connection with transactions, including general corporate law, federal securities matters, applicable stock exchange requirements and contractual obligations.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Silver was a corporate associate in the New York offices of two international law firms. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, his M.S. from Long Island University, and his B.A., with honors, from the University of North Carolina.
Representative M&A Transactions
- Represented Japanese wireless carrier Softbank in its acquisition of a 70% stake in wireless operator Sprint Nextel ($20.1 billion). This deal is the largest Asian acquisition or investment in the U.S.
- Represented Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc., a NYSE-listed casino owner/operator, in its bid to acquire NASDAQ-listed Ameristar Casinos, Inc. in an all-cash merger, with a total enterprise value of $2.8 billion, including debt of $1.9 billion and cash on hand of $116 million.
- Represented Campari Group in a 2012 acquisition of controlling stake in Lascelles de Mercado & Co. Limited.

- Advised JMP Group Inc. as issuer’s counsel in its $46 million bond offering.
