Laura Weissbein is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster's San Francisco office.
Ms. Weissbein received her J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where she served as Articles Editor for the Hastings Law Journal and was awarded Best Brief in the Evans Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition.
During law school, Ms. Weissbein worked as a judicial extern for Associate Justice Marvin R. Baxter of the California Supreme Court and for the Honorable Ernest H. Goldsmith of the San Francisco Superior Court. Before joining Morrison & Foerster, Ms. Weissbein clerked for Chief Justice Walter L. Carpeneti of the Alaska Supreme Court.
Ms. Weissbein worked in Development and Communications for a national non-profit magazine prior to attending law school. She received her B.A. with a concentration in social science from Hampshire College.
