Lynn Humphreys focuses her practice on intellectual property counseling and litigation involving trademark, copyright, advertising, unfair competition, and Internet issues. She regularly addresses these topics in a variety of industries, including hospitality, computer hardware, computer software, medical devices, education, and entertainment. Her practice includes counseling clients from start-ups to large corporations on the selection, protection, registration, enforcement, and acquisition or disposition of trademarks and copyrights in the U.S. and internationally. In advising clients, she draws on more than 15 years of intellectual property litigation experience, including the prosecution and defense of trademark and copyright infringement, false advertising, and unfair competition claims. In addition to federal court litigation, she has represented clients in Trademark Trial and Appeal Board opposition and cancellation actions and ICANN domain name dispute proceedings. Ms. Humphreys also regularly counsels clients on the implementation of advertising and promotional matters, including sweepstakes, contests, and other types of marketing promotions.
