The MIT Clean Energy Prize was established to accelerate the pace of innovation in clean energy and to educate promising young entrepreneurs that we believe will help shape our energy future. Teams that make it to the semifinals will benefit from one-on-one mentorship from experienced industry leaders and entrepreneurs, will expand their network, and will connect with potential funders and customers via the high-press coverage of the event.

The MIT Clean Energy Prize, open to all students at US universities, is an educational platform for innovation, entrepreneurship and new venture creation in the clean energy space. Co-sponsored by NSTAR and the U.S. Department of Energy, the Clean Energy Prize’s Grand Prize of $200,000 aims to catalyze a new generation of clean energy solutions. Our judges also select 5 category winners, each winning $15,000.
