Marissa Harris is an associate in Morrison & Foerster's Global Antitrust Law Practice Group. Ms. Harris has focused her practice on criminal litigation, and currently defends corporations implicated in antitrust cartel investigations initiated by the Department of Justice. She has a broad range of experience in several aspects of criminal investigation and litigation, including subpoena compliance, document production, witness and client interviews, trials, and sentencing.
Ms. Harris previously served as a Special Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office in Brooklyn, New York. As a Special Assistant District Attorney, Ms. Harris represented the People of the State of New York in misdemeanor criminal matters. She conducted two successful trials for drunk driving and public lewdness and secured the felony indictment of a man who violated seven Orders of Protection on nine occasions.
Ms. Harris received her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2009, where she was an Executive Articles Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Law & Modern Critical Race Perspectives and a Legal Research and Writing Law Fellow. Ms. Harris also served in the Domestic Violence Clinic, representing victims of domestic violence in protection order proceedings. Ms. Harris received her B.F.A. in Theater and Journalism from New York University in 2005.
