Mark McDonald practices in the areas of securities and other complex financial and business litigation. He has handled a wide range of matters before state, federal, and bankruptcy courts, both at the trial level and on appeal.
Mr. McDonald has extensive experience litigating class action securities cases, including defending one of the largest medical laboratory testing companies in a shareholder class action arising out of alleged Medicaid/Medicare fraud, representing the outside directors of Lockheed Corporation in a federal securities class action, and representing a special litigation committee investigating a potential $1 billion claim against the officers and directors of a major retailer.
In 1993, Mr. McDonald was appointed as staff counsel to the Independent Commission on the Los Angeles Police Department, headed by former Secretary of State Warren Christopher. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Young Lawyers Section of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and chaired its committee on Alternative Dispute Resolution.
