Matt Steiner is an associate in the Corporate Department of Morrison & Foerster's San Diego office. His practice involves general corporate, transactional, and securities matters, with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and private equity financing transactions, and public and private offerings. Mr. Steiner currently serves on the firm's hiring committee for the San Diego office as well as the firmwide pro bono committee.
Mr. Steiner received his B.A., with honors, in economics from the University of California, Berkeley, and received his J.D. from New York University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Steiner was a law clerk at the U.S. Attorney's office for the Southern District of New York. Also while in law school, he served as a staff editor and a senior editor for NYU School of Law's Journal of Legislation and Public Policy and as a teacher's assistant for NYU School of Law's First Year Lawyering Program. Mr. Steiner is admitted to practice in California.
