Matthew D. Show is an associate in the Palo Alto office of Morrison & Foerster, specializing in biotechnology and pharmaceutical patent law.
Dr. Show holds a B.S., magna cum laude, in Molecular Biology and Psychology from Grove City College. He received a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from The Johns Hopkins University, where his research focused on androgen regulation of spermatogenesis and male fertility. Dr. Show was a Lalor Foundation Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of California San Francisco Medical School, where he studied post-translational modifications of orphan nuclear receptor proteins and where he was the recipient of a Kirchstein National Research Service Award from the National Institutes of Health.
Dr. Show earned a J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of California Hastings College of the Law with a concentration certificate in Intellectual Property Law. At Hastings, Dr. Show co-founded and served as the first Executive Managing Editor of the Hastings Science & Technology Law Journal and was inducted into the Thurston Society and Order of the Coif. During the Spring of 2010, Dr. Show served as a judicial extern in the chambers of the Honorable Justice Ming Chin of the California Supreme Court.
Dr. Show is admitted to practice before the United States Patent & Trademark Office.
