Melissa M. Crespo is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison & Foerster's New York office and a member of the firm's Global Privacy and Data Security Group.
Ms. Crespo advises clients on compliance with state and federal privacy, information security, and data breach notification laws, including on compliance with HIPAA and other laws governing the collection and use of medical and health information. Ms. Crespo also has experience with complex commercial litigation and has represented both debtors and creditors in corporate reorganizations and bankruptcy-related litigation.
Ms. Crespo earned her J.D. cum laude from Howard University School of Law. During law school, Ms. Crespo was the Executive Solicitations and Symposium Editor for the Howard Law Journal and also served as auction coordinator for the Howard Law Public Interest Auction.
