Niels Kiyohide Gjertson is an associate in the Corporate Department of Morrison & Foerster's Tokyo office. His practice focuses on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and joint ventures. Mr. Gjertson earned his J.D. from Columbia Law School in 2008 and his B.A. cum laude with distinction in Political Science from Yale University in 2002. At Columbia Law School, he received the Parker School Certificate in Foreign and Comparative Law and provided pro bono legal assistance to victims of Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans as a volunteer with the Student Hurricane Network.
