Taylor Stevens is a partner with the San Diego office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. He maintains a corporate and securities practice with an emphasis on emerging growth and established technology companies. His experience includes the representation of numerous public and private companies in corporate and financing matters, including venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings and capital market transactions. Mr. Stevens has worked with companies in a variety of industries, including digital and social media, hardware, software, semiconductor, medical device and consumer products.
Mr. Stevens consummated a significant number of acquisition and securities transactions, including mergers and acquisitions valued at more than $6 billion, venture capital transactions raising more than $2 billion and capital markets transactions raising in excess of $1.5 billion.
Mr. Stevens has represented clients in public and private company acquisitions, ranging in size from more than several billion dollars to much smaller transactions. His experience includes auction transactions, cross-border, divestures and carve-outs, acquisitions of divisions and roll-up acquisitions. Mr. Stevens also has extensive experience in counseling emerging growth technology companies on a broad range of venture capital and debt financing transactions. His experience also includes representing venture capital firms and strategic corporate investors in connection with their investments in early stage and emerging growth companies.
Mr. Stevens is recommended as a leading lawyer by Legal 500 US 2012 for his venture capital and emerging companies practice. He is on the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors of CONNECT, a globally-recognized trade organization fostering the creation of innovative technology products in the San Diego region.
