Ted Friedman is an associate in the firm’s State and Local Tax Group. Mr. Friedman concentrates his practice on state and local tax controversies at the audit, administrative, and judicial levels. His practice encompasses a range of state and local tax matters involving income and franchise taxes, sales and use taxes, property taxes, gross receipts taxes, and telecommunication taxes.

Mr. Friedman earned his LL.M. in Taxation, with distinction, and his Certificate in State and Local Taxation from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was on the Dean’s List. While pursuing his LL.M., Mr. Friedman served as a legal extern in the State and Local Tax Group at Morrison & Foerster. He also completed legal externships in the state and local tax group at another international law firm and in the state and local tax group at the national office of a Big 4 accounting firm.

Prior to attending Georgetown, Mr. Friedman worked as an associate in the litigation group of a national law firm in Denver, Colorado. He earned his J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law and his A.B. from Duke University.
