Tyler Sewell is an associate in the Private Equity Buyouts and Investment Group of Morrison & Foerster’s Denver office, specializing in mergers and acquisitions and general corporate matters. He focuses his practice on advising financial and strategic buyers and sellers in public and private M&A transactions and complex corporate transactions.
In the course of his practice, Mr. Sewell negotiates and documents various transactions including leveraged acquisitions, divestitures, asset acquisitions, stock acquisitions, mergers, auction transactions, and cross-border transactions. Mr. Sewell has worked with domestic and foreign companies in a variety of industries including finance, investment management, transportation, telecommunications, manufacturing, and payment processing.
Mr. Sewell received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in May 2008, where he graduated, magna cum laude, and was named to the Order of the Coif. Prior to attending law school, he served as an officer in the United States Navy. During his time in the Navy, Mr. Sewell qualified as a nuclear engineering officer and served as a surface warfare officer on the USS Russell and the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. Mr. Sewell received his B.S., with merit, in ocean engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
