Virginie Kurtz is an associate in the Brussels office of Morrison & Foerster LLP. She is a member of the Litigation Department, where her practice focuses on competition law, in particular cartel cases and merger filings. She has experience in a variety of sectors including construction, energy, chemicals, and transportation.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kurtz worked in the cartel settlement unit of the European Commission’s Directorate General for Competition. She also worked in the Paris and Brussels offices of two major international law firms.
Ms. Kurtz earned a Master of Law from the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg in 2009, a Postgraduate degree in European Economic Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges in 2008, and graduated from the Institut d’Etudes Politiques (Sciences Po) in Strasbourg in 2007.
Ms. Kurtz is a fluent speaker of English and French and also speaks proficient German.
