Whitney W. Lau is an associate in Morrison & Foerster’s Palo Alto office and a member of the firm’s Corporate Department. Her practice focuses on corporate and securities matters, including private financings, mergers and acquisitions, securities compliance, public company reporting, and corporate governance. Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, she interned at Biogen Idec’s patent department while still attending law school.
Ms. Lau received her J.D. from Boston University School of Law. While attending law school, Ms. Lau also received her M.P.H. from Boston University, with a concentration on Health Law, Bioethics, and Human Rights. She was also a member of the American Journal of Law and Medicine.
Ms. Lau graduated, cum laude, and with University Honors from Brigham Young University with a B.S. in Microbiology and a minor in African Studies. She focused her undergraduate honors thesis on research about the treatment of parasitic diseases in the Ashanti-Mampong region of Ghana, West Africa.
