Yukako Wagatsuma, a partner of Ito & Mitomi, has been involved in various cross-border transactions, including joint venture projects, M&A deals and technology transactions, by both Japanese and foreign companies. Ms. Wagatsuma has also been active in various types of domestic and international corporate matters and intellectual property.
Ms. Wagatsuma started her professional career with one of the largest Japanese law firms, Nagashima & Ohno (currently known as Nagashima, Ohno & Tsunematsu), 20 years ago. After leaving the firm she worked as an in-house counsel at a U.S. tobacco company's subsidiary in Japan and at another Japanese law firm.
