This Helping Handbook
provides an overview of some of the legal issues facing individuals, families, and small
businesses in Alabama, Louisiana, and Mississippi as a result of Hurricane Katrina.
This project was done in conjunction with the Center for Pro Bono, a project of the ABA
Standing Committee on Pro Bono and Public Services. The ABA Center for Pro Bono has set
up a website Hurricane Katrina Disaster Resource
to assist those that have been impacted by the hurricanes..
We encourage fellow practitioners to build on this information in an effort to provide maximum pro bono legal support to those in need. There is no cost for using or copying these resources.
