Where
can I get other assistance?
Several
non-governmental organizations are collecting money to help
individuals and families affected by the fires. Many organizations
are not yet ready to distribute the money they have collected,
and most will not distribute money directly to individuals.
The American Red Cross and the Salvation Army provide the majority
of private aid to individual wildfire victims made possible
by donations from individuals, corporations and philanthropic
organizations.
