Michael O. Braun is a transactional attorney whose practice focuses on U.S.-based transactional and advisory practices on behalf of Japanese companies. Mr. Braun has over 25 years of experience representing some of Japan's largest companies in their U.S. transactions, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures and corporate investments. He also works with other foreign-based and U.S. companies interested in securing strategic investments and alliances around the world. Mr. Braun's Japanese clients include global names in aerospace, retail, real estate, printing, brewing and pharmaceutical/biotechnology businesses.

Prior to joining Morrison & Foerster, Mr. Braun was a partner at Bingham McCutchen and, prior to that, a senior partner at Richards & O'Neil in New York (which merged with Bingham McCutchen's predecessor firm in 2001).

• Represented Japanese pharmaceutical company in connection with global implications arising from an $8 billion merger with another pharmaceutical company
• Represented Japanese company in the acquisition of the second largest integrator of electronic components for digital printing
• Represented Japanese aerospace company in connection with teaming and joint venture agreements to produce new aircraft in the U.S. and South America
• Represented Japan's largest brewer in forming a joint venture with America's largest brewer to sell and market Japanese beer in the U.S.
